ASTANA, December 14 - Kazakhstan news agency. Due to the black ice formation after the rain in Western Kazakhstan the routes Aktobe - Astrakhan and Samara - Shymkent are closed for traffic, as stated in the press service of the Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications.
The ministry recalled that on Dec. 13, 2010 due to a rapid precipitation as rain, gusty winds and low temperatures in the areas of the roads of national importance Aktobe - Astrakhan and Samara - Shymkent black ice formed that resulted in a traffic accident, which killed 4 people.
It was reported that "In connection with the above conditions the regional police, roads services restricted movement on these roads for all types of vehicles while conducting anti-icing and the weather clearing".
